"An individual musical look at modern life, industry and current technology". That's how The AV Conception - Volume 1 is introduced by the label Sonoton in 1986.
First effort of a four volumes series, this LP is a typical dive into what defines best Geoff Bastow's production: catchy synthesizer's fligths, dreamy layered pads, percussive breaks and relentless basslines. Mostly known for his collaboration with disco legend Giorgio Moroder, this multi-talented guitarist and pianist also hides behind 70's and 80's hits coming from Boney M, Amanda Lear or Elton John.
An attentive exploration into his impressive discography reveals wonderful gems, providing immersive materials, from synth pop to abstract and experimental music (The Video Age (1980), Tomorrows World (1982), Sports 2 (1990), Sounds Of Science 2 (1992), ...).
Quidam delivers here 3 edited version of Geoff Bastow's "musical look at modern life", extending the journey for the body and the soul.
