After crossing the country from mountain to sea, Pierre Prière dedicated his latest trips to India to a sluggish and studious quest to unearth the subcontinents’ holy Bollywood grails, rediscovering it through its musical heritage.
Weeks spent roaming the streets and suburbs of Delhi, Mumbai, its Kandivali neighborhood. A patient exploration of hidden gems in their dusty caves and warehouses, sometimes sleeveless and roughly piled up, warped by heat and time, in mint condition; litres of chaï.
A few synths, drum machine and scissor cuts later, Kandivali Edits takes shape and offers a selection of his fav tracks, properly edited to his own sauce.

Like a Proust idli, Kandivali Edits unveils an intimate and personal trip to the heart of India’s melodic 80s/90s cherished by Pierre Prière, rocked by the compositions of legendary Bappi Lahiri, A.R. Rahman and Kalyanji Anandji brothers.

Après avoir sillonné le pays de long en large, Pierre Prière a dédié ses derniers passages en Inde à une quête lente et studieuse des graals sonores du sous-continent pour le redécouvrir au travers de son héritage musical bollywoodien.
Des semaines passées à écumer les rues et faubourgs de Delhi, Mumbai, son quartier de Kandivali. Une patiente exploration des trésors cachés de leurs caves et entrepôts poussiéreux, tantôt sans pochettes et empilés, déformés par la chaleur et le temps, parfaitement conservés ; litres de chaï.
Quelques coups de synthés, boites à rythme et ciseaux plus tard, Kandivali Edits voit le jour et propose une sélection de ses morceaux favoris, édités à sa propre sauce.

Comme un Idli de Proust, Kandivali Edits dévoile un voyage intime et personnel au cœur de la mélodieuse Inde des 80s/90s chérie par Pierre Prière, rythmé par les compositions des légendaires Bappi Lahiri, A.R. Rahman et frères Kalyanji Anandji.
